Poni Hoax makes like authentic Italo sounds that goes back to the 80s. Their kinda inconsistent when I first heard them, but lately, they’ve been nothing short of awesome. That’s what happen after getting signed onto Tigersushi. Now for this one, is just massive! Alter Ego are made up of old timers techno Gods, Roman Flügel and Jörn Elling Wuttke. They have not been very consistent either after 2004’s dance anthem of the year, the very rocking “Rocker.” But with this latest epic remix of Hypercommunication, both Hoax and Ego set things right.

The creators of Gorillaz, Damon Albarn and visual artist/director Jamie Hewlett teamed up again on this new musical/concept album. Every one of us had heard the rather incredible Monkey God story when we were young, and it’s amazing to see Damon Albarn’s take on it. Watch the video, wonderfully done, totally tripy till it stokes my insides, and the music…is just plain awesome.
Here at The Monkey Clap Education, we are in awe of Jamie Hewlett’s artwork.

When everyone is writing about them, they must be good. And that’s what Miss Kelly is, very very good. Yes, if you haven’t already know, Kelly’s the best song ever from Modular‘s Van She, now being re-released for the second time. Who cares, that only means we have new remixes to headbang at.
Go get the single if you like these, there’s also the Breakbot remix in there.

We all live and die, however, this hit track from Spektrum has pretty much survived through the times. New remixes from Tiefschwarz is of course, very hot. Be sure to keep a lookout on them as they will be releasing their album pretty soon.
is the sport mix that Simian Mobile Disco did for Nike. I don’t know if it’s really a mix, more like a full version of “Run.” 20 over minutes, like Justice’s Planisphere (Part 1, 2, 3, 4 and Final). Reminds me more of krautrock, Kraftwerk and Neu! the way this song is being structured and built up.
Anyways, I just attended their set at Zouk, was nothing sort of amazing when dirty wicked electro is pumping the whole night. Very basic mixing skills from James Shaw, but his programming and selection is absolutely mind blowing!
